Supernatural star Jared Padalecki has reportedly married former co-star Genevieve Cortese.
According to E! Online, the actor – who plays Sam Winchester in the CW show – tied the knot with Cortese in her hometown of Sun Valley, ID, over the weekend.
A webpage that is alleged to have been leaked from their private wedding site claims that co-star Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) took on groomsman duties.
Padalecki and Cortese met on the set of Supernatural’s fourth season, when Cortese joined the cast as demon Ruby. They announced their engagement in January.
Representatives for the couple have yet to confirm the reports. [source]
Petition Online for Jensen Ackles to become Captain America
AMONG the news that recently emerged on the Captain America movie, director Joe Johnston did give away some casting details.
He said they were looking for a “complete unknown” and also explained: “We’re testing five or six guys. The youngest is 23, the oldest is 32. Most of the guys in the war are just kids, 18 or 19, but we want to go a little bit older.”
Since those remarks, the website Big Shiny Robot has published a piece citing a source who claims to know the names of three of the candidates: Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill), Ryan McPartlin (Chuck) and Jensen Ackles (Supernatural).
Plenty of of fanboys are anticipating the new Justice League DVD “Crisis on Two Earths,” which premieres on Feb. 23, but that disc will also give birth to a new DC must-see home movie when the Dark Knight saga “Batman: Under the Red Hood” launches one of its first promos.
Written by Judd Winick and based on his 2005 Batman comics story line, it’s Batman versus another vigilante, Red Hood, who doesn’t mind cleaning up Gotham by leaving dead bodies in his wake. Animated guru Bruce Timm exec produces this pretty violent look into crime on the streets, and it’s directed by “Superman Doomsday” co-director Brandon Vietti, with a cavalcade of stars as voice talent. It all starts with Bruce Greenwood (“Star Trek”) as Batman, then continues with “Supernatural” star Jensen Ackles as Red Hood, Neil Patrick Harris (“How I Met Your Mother”) as Nightwing, John DiMaggio (“Futurama”) as the Joker and Jason Isaacs (the Harry Potter films) as Ra’s Al Ghul. ‘Supernatural’ Video Preview: How Sam Met His Mother
Next week’s Supernatural episode brings back Castiel, Anna and one very cool angel power: time travel. Unlike season 4’s “In the Beginning,” this time both Sam and Dean are traveling back in time to protect Mary and John from an assassination plot to prevent the boys from ever being born.
After coming back from the long winter break, Supernatural has been stuck in stand alone episodes about a psychiatric hospital and body swapping, so it’s good to see the show getting back to the on-going mythology.
It also means we’ll get to see young John and young Mary again, a few years after the events of “In the Beginning.” Check out these two new clips featuring the boys transporting back in time and meeting their young parents.
A merely OK episode as Sam gets his own FREAKY FRIDAY.
“Either you start talking or I start water boarding.” – Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) on SUPERNATURAL “Swap Meat”
Well that was not you’re A-typical SUPERNATURAL episode. Not by a long shot.
The funniest part of “Swap Meat” was the foreboding music that played throughout the episode. Totally out of place given the circumstances of the episode and the hilarious situations that Sam (Jared Padaleki) was placed in – a FREAKY FRIDAY body swap.
But I guess given the nefarious intentions of some of the young kid’s friends in the episode, I guess a case could be made for the droning music. Still, I found it funny that it was playing when Sam was at school as the boy or when the boy (as Sam) was totally out of character for Sam and saying a number of crazy stuff that he’d never say.
according to Kristen at Titan Publishing Group the official Supernatural Magazine has a sensational prize up for grabs for one lucky winner – two gold tickets to the official Supernatural Convention – SALUTE TO SUPERNATURAL on March 26-28 in Los Angeles.
The now sold-out Gold Ticket entitles holders to a host of sensational perks, including complimentary in-person autographs with guests and exclusive access to a Saturday night cocktail party.
Guests at SALUTE TO SUPERNATURAL will include: Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester), Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester), Misha Colins (Castiel), Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer), Jake Abel (Adam Milligan), Travis Wester (Harry Spangler), AJ Buckley (Ed Zeddmore), and Richard Speight, Jr (Trickster).
