German release date

No Sequel to ‘My Bloody Valentine 3-D’

During his panel at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors, director Patrick Lussier revealed that there will be no sequel developed for ‘My Bloody Valentine 3-D’.

Despite its surprising box office success upon its release, “” won’t be getting a sequel treatment. Breaking the news, as reported by Shock Till You Drop, was the horror remake’s director, Patrick Lussier, himself during his panel at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors in Los Angeles.

On the occasion, the filmmaker who serves as visual consultant on -starring “” reportedly claimed that Lionsgate “has no intention of developing a sequel at all”. It is further noted that the studio prefer to leave the remake film, which has scored big in its opening week with $21.2 million, as a one-shot deal.

My Bloody Valentine 3-D Props Up for Auction

04-08This may look like an ordinary cell phone but this phone has lived the dream of many Supernatural fans – it was held by Jensen Ackles. Not only held, but squeezed, thumbed and fingered, too. . . and now, it can be yours.

The phone is just one of over 500 items up for sale at the Fangoria Live Auction hosted by Premiere Props. The auction will take place on Saturday, April 18 at the Los Angeles Convention Center but you can watch it live online. Not only will there be props from My Bloody Valentine 3-D, but they’re also selling props and costumes from The Wizard of Gore, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, Mutant Chronicles, Quarantine and more.

The auction is just one event in a full weekend of horror fun that includes a special appearance by  My Bloody Valentine director, Patrick Lussier who will participate in a Q&A and sign autographs on Sunday, April 19.

‘My Bloody Valentine’ Gets DVD Date

Arriving on both DVD and Blu-ray on May 26th is My Bloody Valentine. No specs have been revealed yet and there’s no word on if the film will receive a 3D release. In the remake that took in over $50m at the box office, Tom (Jensen Ackles) returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine’s night massacre that claimed the life of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders.
