Things are heating up over at Supernatural. We’ve already heard news that Adrianne Palicki will return as Sam’s dead girlfriend from the Pilot and news that Lucifer has been cast, but now comes more news that makes season 5 sound like it’s getting back to basics.
Meg is coming back, or rather, the demon that possessed Meg will return for Supernatural season 5. Eric Kripke told TV Guide Magazine that he’s been curious about what happened to the missing demon, and it seems he’s finally come up with a way to bring her back. However, she won’t be quite the same.
Season 4 of Supernatural ended with Lucifer rising, and now, he’s here. Michael Ausiello from EW.com has confirmed that actor Mark Pellegrino will join Supernatural as the Devil. Who is Mark Pellegrino, you ask?
Well, if you’re a Lost fan, you certainly know him as Jacob, the shadowy ruler of the Island who finally appeared in the season5 finale, only to be killed off by Ben. On that show I actually predicted that Jacob was the Devil, so it looks like I was right, only with the wrong show.
The title says it all. According to Variety, Supernatural will return for the start of its fifth season September 10, 2009. The show will remain in its usual 9:00 time slot but instead of Smallville, the new series Vampire Diaries will take the lead at 8:00.
The CW Source caught up with Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles at the recent Paley Festival Celebrity Golf Tournament. Listen in while he talks about the finale and where he hopes the show will go from here.
